BattleTech Missions: Operation Shelby Pursuit, A Two-Day Pirate Campaign
Capacity: 8 Pilots per Session (Strictly Limited) | Format: Narrative Campaign (Session 1: Day; Session 2: Night) | Duration: 4 Hours per Session | Setting: Crucis March, Federated Suns | July 7-8, 3025
Join the hunt in the Crucis March! Operation Shelby Pursuit is a unique, two-part tactical campaign set in July 3025, just outside Shelby City, Memphis. Following a successful defense of the Shelby Drop-Port and a suspiciously important supply depot, a rogue pirate lance has fled into the wilds—and it's up to your lance to finish the job.
This is not just a series of battles; it is a living story where your actions in the first engagement directly dictate the stakes of the second. Will you secure the prisoner and storm the fort, or will the secrets of Shelby City remain buried?
Session 1: The Chase (Mission 3025-03)
- Time: Saturday, 9:15 AM – 1:15 PM
- Date: July 7, 3025
- Objective: Intercept the fleeing pirates at Grid Point Alpha.
- The Twist: High Command has issued a critical directive: Let one pirate "escape"—but make sure it's someone you can outrun. Shadow them back to their dropship and "ask them nicely to stand down."
- The Stakes: If they get away, they'll return in a few months with more 'Mechs and little interest in following society's rules. Ignore Lord Stephenson's political distractions—focus on the mission.
Session 2: Storming the Castle (Mission 3025-04)
- Time: Sunday, 9:15 AM – 1:15 PM
- Date: July 8, 3025
- Objective: Tracking the prisoner leads you to an old Star League-era fort—not the dropship you expected.
- Night Ops: Launch a surprise assault under the cover of darkness. Your 'Mechs will be equipped with powerful searchlights to illuminate targets—but beware, they also make you a beacon for enemy fire.
- Enemy Status: Most pirate 'Mechs have already been destroyed, but they still have conventional forces and possibly 1-2 'Mechs.
- The Mystery: Something "funny is going on" at this fort. You must breach the site quickly and prevent them from destroying all evidence of what they've been up to.
Campaign Rules & Logistics:
- Continuity: Players are encouraged to play both sessions to experience the full narrative arc. However, individual sessions can be played standalone (with a brief recap provided).
- Location Note: This event takes place at The Battleship Cove Maritime Museum, a separate building located just down the street from the USS Massachusetts. Please allow extra time to travel between venues.
- RSVP: Required. Space is strictly limited to 8 pilots per session to ensure high-quality gameplay and narrative immersion.

Alpha Strike Narrative Mega Battle – A Dark Age Alpha Strike Campaign
Capacity: Varies by Table (Max 5 players/table, Start with 3) | Format: Narrative Campaign (Small Games → Big Game Finale) | Era: Dark Age (Advanced Rules/Tech Allowed)
The Republic stands at a crossroads. In this Clans vs. Republic Alpha Strike campaign, your actions across multiple small battles will determine the fate of an evacuation for a DropShip dependents, materiel, and the last Republic banner not surrendered to the ilKhan's hands. The ilKhan calls for the banner to be laid, intact, at his feet. The Republic calls for volunteers to hold on just a little longer so the fight can continue. It is up to the players to decide who shall triumph. This is not just a series of games, it is a living war where every victory, defeat, and sacrifice shapes the final confrontation. Pick your side, pick your faction, and fight to final victory in one last battle for Terra.
The Structure:
- Small Games (3+ Tables): Complete objectives to gain advantages for the Big Game. Maneuver between tables as reinforcements to preserve forces and ensure your side comes out on top.
- Attrition Field: Free to drop in and out, smash enemy forces before the finale, remember every unit you lose is one less for the final action and every unit you destroy is another out of the way. (Unlimited Players).
- Big Game Finale: The Republic must fuel, load, and evacuate while the Clans hold out for their Aerospace support to finally ground this DropShip while destroying that which stands against them.
- Overall: Damage to units carries over from the small tables to the big game, so preserve your forces while destroying the enemy's or see a final battle become a hopeless one.
Small Game Objectives:
- Data Download: Reduce the timer for the Big Game's flight data loading phase or collect the information needed to bring in Clan Aerospace assets onto the final field faster.
- Control Point (KOTH): Control the artillery position to gain BSP artillery support in the finale.

- Attrition Field: Weaken enemy forces before the final battle, jump in at any time and retreat when you start taking real damage. (No time restrictions).
The Big Game – Three Stages to Victory:
The Republic must complete three sequential objectives while the Clans defend for 15 turns (modified by small game outcomes).
| Stage | Objective | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Fuel the DropShip | Republic forces must protect the fueling operation | 3 Turns |
| 2. Load Flight Data | Download critical navigation data (reduced by Data Download small game) | 5 Turns |
| 3. Clear the Runway | No living units on the runway at end of turn | End of Turn |
Victory Conditions:
- Republic: Complete all three stages before the timer expires.

Classic BattleTech Grinder – Session 1
Format: Progressive Ladder (Start Small, End Big)
Ready to earn your veteran stripes? Welcome to The Grinder, the ultimate BattleTech progression event! In this unique format, you don't start with a massive Atlas or Orion. Instead, you begin with a humble, lightly armed 'Mech. As you survive (or get destroyed!), you climb the ladder, unlocking larger, more powerful machines with every round.
Whether you are a novice pilot learning the ropes or a veteran testing your adaptability, The Grinder offers a supportive, fast-paced environment where the only goal is to survive long enough to reach the top tier.
How It Works:
- The Ladder: Start with a basic 'Mech (Level 1). If your 'Mech is destroyed, you "graduate" to the next level with a new, more advanced chassis.
- Continuous Flow: Join at the start of the session and play through as many rounds as you can in the 2-hour window.
Logistics:
- Gear: Bring your own dice and a small selection of 'Mechs (or use our loaner pool). Maps and terrain are provided.
- Rules: Standard Classic BattleTech rules apply, with specific "Kill Conditions" to keep games moving fast.
- RSVP: Not required, this is a drop in/out event.
Classic BattleTech Grinder – Session 2
The Grinder continues! Missed the morning session? Or maybe you want to see if you can climb higher this time around? Join us for the afternoon round of The Classic BattleTech Grinder.
The format remains the same: start small, survive the destruction, and evolve into a heavy hitter. This session is perfect for players who want to refine their strategy or simply enjoy the chaos of a random 'Mech selection. Will you end the day piloting a BattleMaster, or will you get stuck in the early rounds?
How It Works:

- Casual & Competitive: A great mix of learning and high-stakes play.
Logistics:
- Gear: Bring your own dice. Loaner 'Mechs available for all levels.

Nautical Nights – The Hunt for the Lost Cache
Capacity: 75 Pilots (Split into 4 Factions, 10 players/group max) | Format: Immersive Scavenger Hunt / Overnight Roleplay | Era: Pre-Civil War (ArchAIos Project)
"Some called her a ghost ship. Others… a grave. But today, we call her something else entirely: a vault."
Welcome to the Nautical Nights Overnight Adventure, the crown jewel of New England Mech Con 2026. After the museum closes for the day, you and a select team will be granted exclusive after-hours access to the historic USS Massachusetts. Your mission: uncover the truth behind [REDACTED], a classified joint operation that ended in catastrophe and silence.
Deep within the hull lies a fragmented data cache, hidden across seven specific locations on the ship. But you are not alone. Four factions have converged on this relic, each with their own agenda, their own methods, and their own secrets.
Choose Your Faction (Assigned at Check-In):
- House Marik & The Crimson Blades: You hold the high ground. Your orders are to secure the cache and prevent extraction. Use brute force and amphibious tactics to dominate the decks.
- Clan Sea Fox & Echo Mirage: You are the infiltrators. Your goal is to extract the "Override Chip" intact without destroying key systems. Move silently, neutralize cyber-assets, and slip past the guards.
The Mission:
- Seven Locations: Teams must navigate the ship's historic corridors to visit seven specific checkpoints, solving digital and physical puzzles along the way.
- Parallel Play: With up to 75 players split into independent groups, the ship will be alive with simultaneous action. Your group operates alone; do not interfere with other factions' missions.
- The Overnight Experience: After the hunt concludes, participants will retire to the historic Crew Berthing Quarters (located near the CPO Mess Hall and Cove Cinema) for a night of rest on the legendary battleship.
- The Truth: Not all records align. Some logs contradict. As you explore, you may uncover the full truth behind the accident that shattered the [REDACTED].
Critical Safety & Conduct Rules:
- NO PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION: This is a narrative event, not a brawl. All interactions must be verbal or via game mechanics.
- NO RUNNING: The ship has narrow corridors, steep ladders, and low ceilings. Running is strictly prohibited for safety.
- RESPECT THE ARTIFACTS: Do not touch, move, or interfere with event or museum displays, other groups' materials, or locked doors not part of your mission.
- STAY WITH YOUR GROUP: You are responsible for your team members. Do not wander off alone in the dark.
- QUIET HOURS: Respect the historic nature of the ship and other guests. Keep voices low in berthing areas.
Logistics & Requirements:
- Check-In: Mandatory at 7:30 PM at the CPO Mess Hall.
- Gear: Bring comfortable shoes for climbing ladders, and a sleeping bag/pillow (bunks are provided, but bedding is not).
- RSVP: Required. Space is strictly limited to 75 pilots. Sign up now to secure your spot in the hunt!
The ship is waiting. The cache is hidden. The truth is dangerous. Are you ready to wake the Massachusetts?
Stratosphere Showdown – The Aerospace Fighter Grinder
Capacity: 6–8 Players per Table (First-Come, First-Served) | Format: Progressive Ladder (Light → Heavy Fighters) & Tutorial | Ruleset: Classic BattleTech Aerospace (Customized for Flow)
"Don't let the altitude intimidate you!"
Welcome to the Stratosphere Showdown, a dedicated Aerospace Fighter Grinder designed to demystify the skies of the Inner Sphere. Many pilots find Classic BattleTech Aerospace rules complex and daunting. This event is your safe harbor to learn, practice, and master 3D dogfighting in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
In this progressive ladder event, you start with a fragile, lightly armed fighter. As you survive (or get destroyed!), you climb the ranks, unlocking larger, faster, and more deadly aerospace frames with every round.
How It Works:
- The Ladder: Start with a basic fighter (Level 1). If your craft is destroyed, you "graduate" to the next level with a new, more advanced chassis.
- Learn by Doing: The rules used are standard and will be broken down by Brendan to help you grasp the concepts of altitude, vectors, and movement without getting bogged down in complexity.
- 3D Dogfighting: Experience the thrill of vertical combat! Use altitude and speed to outmaneuver your opponents.
What to Expect:
- All Gear Provided: Organizer Brendan R. will provide loaner Aerospace Fighters, 3D altitude trackers, maps, and terrain. You just need to bring your enthusiasm!
- Drop-In Friendly: No RSVP required. Simply show up at the Annex Overflow, grab a seat at an open table, and join the fight.
- Expert Guidance: Brendan and volunteers will be on hand to explain rules, help with movement, and ensure everyone has a good time.
Logistics & Rules:
- Location: Annex Overflow on the Main Deck of the USS Massachusetts, right next to the Ship's Galley. Easy access, no travel required!
- Rules: Classic BattleTech Aerospace rules, streamlined for convention play.
- Capacity: Tables accommodate 6–8 players. Seating is first-come, first-served, so arrive early to secure a spot!
- Atmosphere: Relaxed, educational, and fun. Perfect for beginners and veterans alike.
Break the sound barrier. Master the skies. Join the Stratosphere Showdown!
